Internal logistic solutions provider and warehouse building company Laomaailm (in English: Storage World) is the official representative of the Hyundai material handling equipment in Estonia. Laomaailm sells Hyundai forklift, reach and tow trucks mainly to the companies operating in the field of industry, construction and material handling.
The decision to start operating as a Hyundai distributor definitely was the right one. The Hyundai Heavy Industries philosophy of “keep it simple” suits the Estonian market perfectly. And this goes for the counterbalance forklift trucks in particular. To fit that philosophy, Hyundai has focused on the production of heavy-duty and easily maintainable equipment. Buyers have realized that in the end, maintenance, servicing and even the acquisition of more complex machines is more costly as it needs separate workforce, time and expensive spare parts.
In 2006, every tenth forklift truck sold in Estonia was produced by Hyundai, although Laomaailm started offering the forklift trucks of Hyundai actively only in the second half of 2006. We are that sure of the quality of the forklift trucks that even tough the factory warranty is 2 years, we are give our clients another 3 years of warranty, at our own risk. The Hyundai forklift trucks have sold successfully precisely because every self-educated forklift truck driver is able to manage the simpler repair and maintenance works themselves without the need of a specialist to do that.
The Pan-Baltic company Laomaailm, established in 1994 in Estonia, is the largest company engaged in the sale of warehouse furnishings in Estonia. Laomaailm has about a quarter of the warehousing market in Estonia and is engaged in the production and sale of warehouse furnishing, industrial and trade premises, archives, sales, maintenance and leasing of installations and material handling equipment. In addition to Estonia, Laomaailm has a sister company in Riga, the capital of Latvia, and a company in Lithuania is being established.
