Introducing R27Z-9 zero tail mini excavator in the UK.
Alongside a broad selection of the existing -7A Series of excavators and wheel-loaders, Hyundai unveiled a pre-production version of a new mini-excavator: an all-new zero tail-swing mini, the 2.7t R27Z-9.
Hyundai also introduced its remote management system, Hi-Mate, to the UK public for the first time. And almost goes without saying that well known Hyundai demonstrator, Doug the Diggerman, was there too, pushing the envelope on a Hyundai R210LC-7A.
Hyundai’s intention is to introduce a complete new range of mini excavators, of which R16-9 and R27Z-9 are the first pre-production units to be seen in Europe. In the highly competitive mini market, quality, durability and value for money are known key factors. The solid reputation of existing mini models like the R55-7A and R35Z-7A indicate how these values have always been the hallmark of Hyundai machines. The new models will be adding to that reputation, though there is no firm date set for their release for sale.
The 1.6t baseline model R16-9 is no exception. It is easily towable on a light trailer, and with an adjustable track-width from under 1m to 1.25m, it offers the neat facility of being able to pass through narrow gateways and has the power and all-round stability for an impressive digging performance for a machine of its size.
With the R35Z-7A Hyundai has seen good acceptance in the compact zero tail-swing sector - an increasingly important feature on machines that have to work in congested or confined job sites. The new, slightly smaller 2.7t R27Z-9 will provide even better stability and flexibility and has a generously equipped and spacious cab with clear visibility.
