ELAKONE celebrates 10 years of Hyundai dealership
And the story continues…
Suomen Telakone Oy has been Hyundai construction equipment dealer in Finland for 10 years. The successful story started late 1997 and still continues very strongly.
The first ever Hyundai machine Telakone imported was an R130LC-3, delivered to Mr. Veikko Ruohonen, who today owns four HYUNDAI machines. In its first year Telakone sold about 30 new Hyundai machines in Finland. Over the ten following years, this number reached over 700 crawler excavators, wheeled excavators and wheel loaders.
Telakone was founded in 1988, by the three Rautionmaa brothers. From 1975 onwards all three brothers gathered experience in selling second hand earthmoving machines. With this background, their newly found company started out as a second hand machine trading company. In 1997, however, new machies were added to the product range, by taking up the Hyundai franchise. Today Telakone sells about 400 hundred units per year, 100 of which being new Hyundai machines. Aside from keeping a machine stock for quick delivery, Telakone has a 2400 square meters building featuring a fully equipped workshop and spare parts warehouse.
Meanwhile, Telakone gathered loads of experience with Hyundai as a company, as a brand and its machines. Together with its customers, Telakone took part in a couple of HHI VIP Korea Tours in order to show them what Hyundai is all about. Other events Telakone steadily takes part in are exhibitions like Maxpo and its own Open House called WINTER DAYS OF TELAKONE at the beginning of each year in March.
