HHIE-Geel Belgium

Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) is the construction equipment division’s European branch office. Located in Geel, Belgium, HHIE has been leading the division’s growth spurt for several years now, with annual growth reaching double figures. A 40 percent growth rate in 2006 stands as its best annual result thus far.

The people at HHIE cite a whole host of reasons for this dynamic development. “We have worked hard to expand our dealer network and, when opening up new markets, have supported our dealers with attractive terms and comprehensive marketing campaigns,” explains Michel de Weert, Marketing Manager at HHIE. “At the same time, Hyundai has invested in research and development and today offers a wide and varied range of products. The machines have built up an extremely positive reputation as solid, reliable machines that can hold their own against the competition and are not only productive but also good value.”

European Dealer Network

HHIE-France

Today, HHIE markets its products through a qualified network of over 120 dealers in 35 countries. The network consists of 75 construction equipment dealers and 45 forklift truck dealers.

Hyundai opened its first European branch office in France in September, 2007, to improve coordination and support of the elaborate French dealer network. More national branch offices are expected to follow.

The establishment of branch offices is a strategic choice, prompted by the realisation that the reliability of the dealer network has a decisive effect on a company’s reputation. For this reason, Hyundai strives to add only the most competent of partners to its network which ensures professional local customer support. The services offered range from advice and sales through to financial services, taking in technical service and the fast delivery of spare parts along the way.

Spare Parts

Delivery of Spare Parts

Having more dealers, and more skilled dealers, inevitably increases the population of Hyundai machines, and as a consequence, the sales of spare parts have grown at a commensurate rate. To support this growing demand for spare parts, HHIE relies on a proven, reliable stocking and delivery system.

About 93% of all Hyundai spare parts are continuously in stock at HHIE’s Parts Warehouse in Geel, Belgium. Any European dealer who orders an item before 15.00h GMT+1 will see this item delivered the next day (no more than 24 hours later), anywhere in Europe. For the outskirts of the European continent, delivery is guaranteed in 48 hours rather than 24 hours. Even on the rare occasions when an ordered item is not in stock in Europe, delivery in 3 days is what the company aims for. The item will then immediately be flown in from Hyundai Headquarters in Korea.

Hyundai’s European dealer network is delighted to have this fast and reliable spare parts service at their disposal. More and more, this spare parts delivery system has become a strong selling point for Hyundai agents throughout Europe.
